I wish you time - Ti auguro tempo

As promised, some very wise words about time, and the use we make of it...the beautiful poem is by Elli Michler:

"I don't wish you all sort of gifts.
I just wish you what most people don't have:

I wish you the time to be happy and to laugh
and if you use it, you can make something out of it.
I wish you the time for your doings and thinking,
not only for yourself, but also to give away to others.
I wish you the time - not to hastle and run
but the time to be contented.
I wish you the time, not to pass just like that
I wish that some of it may be left for you
as a time to marvel and trust
instead of just looking at the time on your watch.
I wish you the time to reach for the stars
and the time to grow, to mature
I wish you the time to hope and to love
There is no sense in putting this time off.
I wish you the time to find yourself to see happiness in each day and each hour.I wish you the time also to forgive. I wish you the time to live."

Time for us - Tempo per noi

Today the bright blue sky has filled me with energy and a positive mood, I can feel spring in the crispy air, the trees in the garden opposite my house are in blossom..nothing inspires me more than going out for a walk in the countryside, laying on a meadow and enjoy the gentle April sun stroking my face...
Then I look at my diary, it's already full till next Friday, appointments, commitments, deadlines...time seems to fade as I browse through the pages of the diary!
I realise that I always complain about my lack of time!
But I also feel how much it's important to make time for relax, contact with nature, intimacy with our loved ones, with ourselves...
At the end of the day, if not for this, what else are we living for?
In the Tao philosophy they speak about finding time for "wu-wei" that means "sitting still doing nothing", without agenda...it is the taoist meditation and apparently this is extremely beneficial for happiness and longevity!...so today I've made some space for this, and I feel amazingly good now!
P.S. In the next post I will publish a wonderful poem about "Time"...
